[/custom_frame_left]Lenicia’s primary passion is empowering teachers. Teachers are the front line and most important and influential factor in impacting the lives of kids. They are also the clearinghouse and gateway for every new initiative, plan, protocol, checklist, and idea that funnels from the state, the district, the campus, the parents, and countless other stakeholders in public education. Lenicia seeks to offer teachers practical ideas and strategies to implement into their classrooms that complement what they already do, and perhaps, even simplify their work. Additionally, Lenicia strives to support teachers in trusting themselves and celebrating what they already do well, which is to love kids and do their best every day.

Before joining the lead4ward team, Lenicia’s experience over the past 20 years includes: Professional Development Specialist for Region 13, Teacher Development Specialist for Houston ISD, curriculum writer for Houston ISD and Austin ISD, District-level ELAR Coordinator, Reading Specialist, GT and IB Coordinator, and many years of successful classroom teaching experience. She holds certifications in Administrative Leadership, ESL, School Librarian, and History 1-8, in addition to her Masters in Education.
