We invite you to join us for a day of exploring accountability!

After a 2-year respite, accountability returns for 2022 (at least an A-B-C version of it).

In this 1-day symposium, we will explore:

  • what the measures will be
  • how they will apply
  • how academic growth is likely to play an important role in district and campus ratings

We will also discuss the current status of the framework for the reset and redesign of the system for Accountability 2023.

We are excited to have special guests Jamie Crowe (Executive Director of the Division of Performance Reporting) and Heather Smalley (Director of Accountability Policy and Communications in the Division of Performance Reporting) at the Texas Education Agency joining us for the first part of the day. They will provide up-to-the-minute updates and answer questions about where we are and where we are heading in the world of accountability. The afternoon will be spent analyzing the information from the morning and examining ways to move from “now we know” to “so what do we do?”
