What are the Math ePLCs?
Math ePLCs provide a springboard to both ignite and support collaborative team discussions prior to planning instruction. Leaders, instructional coaches, and teachers will gain valuable insight into the specificities needed for rich Tier 1 instructional planning. The Math ePLC is also a great tool for the self-contained teacher (who might plan in isolation) to receive targeted background information and critical implications for instruction.
Math ePLC are available for Elementary (K-5), Middle School (6-8), and High School
NEW! K-2 videos added to Elementary Math ePLC
These learning videos support teachers in building a strong mathematical foundation for students while ensuring seamless vertical alignment across grades. Specifically, they:
- Provide essential background knowledge, helping teachers understand grade-level entry points and how concepts build from one grade to the next
- Demonstrate hands-on, conceptual learning experiences using virtual manipulatives to allow teachers to visualize key math concepts in an interactive and dynamic way
- Address common student misconceptions, equipping teachers with targeted strategies to clarify misunderstandings early and strengthen their instruction
- Provide valuable insights into early algebra-ready concepts, helping to lay the groundwork so students develop the skills needed for future mathematical success
- Include opportunities to pause, reflect, and discuss strategies with colleagues during collaborative planning
What’s available?
- 3 content learning videos per grade, focusing on the algebra-ready concepts that require the most instructional time and pacing
- 1 common misconceptions video for intervention
