Targeted campus support is customized, campus-based assistance designed to address specific problems of practice that can be supported with lead4ward resources and processes. Its purpose is to support and train professional learning communities (PLCs) as well as develop and model effective leadership practices for school leaders. This type of support focuses on providing ongoing guidance aimed at developing sustainable practices, particularly for building capacity in effective planning and instructional delivery. It is individualized and tailored, often taking the form of multi-day, distributed learning sessions.
A key component of targeted campus support is modeling instruction based on specific lead4ward practices and content followed by reflection and discussion with the team. Another essential aspect is conducting classroom observations and walkthroughs, which are often paired with teacher debriefs that involve the leadership team.
